postpartum Doula services
Postpartum Doula Support is rooted in supporting families in the initial stage of life for new baby, and significantly reduces stress, home maintenance burden, and recovery time following childbirth.
As a doula, support is provided to all members of the family, including: newborn, primary parent, co-parent, and sibling(s), helping with organization and maintaining schedule, incorporating your new family member, maintaining and promoting communication, and reducing workload on family members so they can focus on spending time together. Doulas prioritize education for new parents and work towards promoting self determination over time, setting parents up for success to continue routines and good habits once doula support is complete. Birth Doula services
Birth Doula Support is rooted in supporting momma during early and active stage labor, offering emotional support and encouragement, supportive birthing positions, stretches, and mobility exercises, and assisting with contraction mitigation through counter-pressure, breathing guidance, massage, and so much more.
As a doula, support is prioritized for the birth parent throughout this process, as it is an incredibly intense emotional, physical, and spiritual experience. As a doula, my job is to make sure you feel as calm and confident as can be for your upcoming labor and childbirth, and offer support in any method you feel appropriate as well. All birth parents are different, and look for specific support styles, so communication is key.
